NAC Holds One-day Seminar On Athletes 365 Career+

The Nigeria Athletes Commission (NAC) in collaboration with International Olympic Committee (IOC) held enlightenment program on 'Life After Sports' for retired and practising athletes at the Reno Hotels Abuja on Thursday, 24 June 2021, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The purpose of the Seminar according to the host, Olumide Oyedeji, is to acquaint retired and practising athletes with ideas on what to do after their active days to be able to take care of their immediate financial responsibility.
Not fewer than 40 participants were at the the one-day seminar, titled "Athlete 365 Career+" aimed at powering up the future of athletes. The event held from 9:00 am till 4:00 pm has been receiving commendations from the participants saying the seminar is an eye opener for them.
Nigeria Olympians such as, Emmanuel Babayaro, Bose Kaffo, Catherine Ewa, Dorcas Makanju, Daniel Ocholi, Juliana Negedu and seven-time Olympian, Funke Oshonaike, Olympic bound Anuoluwapo Opeyori, Aminat Adeniyi were some of the participants.
Others include, veteran journalists, Kayode Adeniyi and Wale Alabi, former Super Eagles player, Musa Santos and host of others.
The seminar has been receiving commendations and encomium has not ceased pouring in on the Olumide Oyedeji led NOA for holding the seminar on the International Olympian Day.
Kady Kanoute Tounkara and Inas Hussein Elsheimy alongside Carolina Hesse are the facilitators while IOC and NOC are the sponsors.
The free seminar revealed opportunities for retired athletes as facilitators from IOC uncovered different ways they can tap into to maintain their financial status.
