NAF FC, EFCC FC, 6 Others To Battle For FCT Aiteo Cup Semi-Final Tickets By Niyi Busari The Nigeria National League sides, NAF FC and EFCC FC, Basic Maracana, FWC FC, Police Machine, Democrats and Ejele FC have book their quarter-finals tickets after their victories on match-day 1 of the 2021 FCT Aiteo Cup on Wednesday, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Basic Maracana pipped Tikitaka FC 1-0 in the first match to book a quarterfinal ticket against Tripple J who defeated Sirplet A 3-4 on penalties after a 2-2 draw. In other matches, FWC drew goalless against Oyah Sports but prevailed 3-2 after penalty shootouts. Nigeria National League, NNL campaigners, EFCC FC showed superiority as they thrashed Dante A 3 -0 in match number four. However, another NNL side, FRSC FC were unlucky as they were bundled out of the competition after a 1-3 defeat by Police Machine. Democrats were 2-1 victors against Garden Partner while Ejele FC had the highest scoreline on the day as they pummeled Unique Saphire 5-1. In the last match of the day, Sun FC were handed a 3-1 defeat by another NNL side, NAF FC. In the quarter-final matches will hold today (Thursday), June 10th, 2021 Basic Maracana will face Tripple J while FWC FC lock horns with EFCC FC. Police Machine will aim to prove their superiority over Democrats while Ejele FC will have their hands full against more experienced side, NAF FC in the quest for the semifinal ticket. Winners in today's quarter-finals will play their semi-final games on Friday, June 11th, while final is slated for 14 June 2021. The winners of the 2021 FCT FA Cup will represent the Federal Capital Territory at the 2021 Aiteo/FA Cup national finals.
