NANPF Election: How Winners Emerged

Former Super Eagles players, Tijani Babangida, Mutiu Adepoju, Edema Fuludu, Abdul Sule, Patrick Pascal, Clement Temile, as well as Plateau United captain, Golbe Elisha, Victor Ikeji, Chikelu Iloenyosi, Effiong Ekpo, Yakubu Shuaibu and Muhammed Ogidi became the new Executive Committee member of National Association of Nigerian Professional Footballers,(NANPF), BSNSports.com.ng reports
The elections which was conducted on Tuesday in Abuja ushered in new nine Executive Committee memebers as eight of them emerged winers unopposed while former Super Eagles winger, Edema Fuludu who contested with Ben Nwosu for the post of treasurer won with landslide, 38 votes to 1 with 1 vote nullified.
Former BCC Lions of Gboko attacker, Fuludu attributed the wide gap to his experience as core politician who went through baptism of fire and gained experience when he contested for the Delta state House of Assembly but lost in the primary elections few months ago.
The former president of the Association, Comrade Dahiru Sadi (MFR), said his refusal to buy form to recontest for the position was in the best interest of players Association.
His decision made Tijani Babangida came face to face with Ashifat Olayinka Sulyman for the position of the Association president, however, Ashifat Olayinka decided not to contest shortly before the Commencement of the election saying, he has to focus on his new job as Kwara United coach following Abubakar Bala national assignment with the Flying Eagles.
When the election was about to commence, three contestants (Ashifat Olayinka for president, Etta Egbe for the post of 1st vice president as well as and Joshua Kator who wanted to contest as the Financial Secretary) stepped down and their opponents; Tijani Babangida, Clement Temile and Patrick Pascal emerged unopposed for the post they thought it would be tough before they stepped down on the day of election.
Other executive members who won unopposed are; Plateau United captain, Elisha Golbe who emerged second vice Chairman, former Super Eagles attacker, Mutiu Adepoju, Abdul Sule, and Victor Ikeji as the Trustees of the Association while Chikelu Iloenyosi, Effiong Ekpo, Yakubu Shuaibu and Muhammed Ogidi won the post of Internal auditor, 2nd auditor, PRO and Ex-officio respectively.
Here is the full names of aspirants for NANPF National Delegate Congress (NAC) 2018 election that have submitted their completed forms before the deadline date of November 21, 2018. And the positions they are contesting for;
