Nasarawa, Rivers Angels Top League Table, As NWFL Premiership Go Into Mid-Season Break By Niyi Busari Nasarawa Amazons Football Club and Rivers Angels Football Club of Port Harcourt, on Wednesday emerged league leaders in the NWFL Premiership Group A and B respectively as the 2021/2022 season go on Mid-Season break. In Group B, defending champions, Rivers Angels top the league table with 13 points after defeating Sunshine Queens of Akure 2-1 in Port Harcourt. Rivers overtook former leaders, Bayelsa Queens who were on bye on 11 points. The best result of Week 7 was achieved by FC Robo Queens of Lagos, that consolidated and covered up their last home draw against Delta Queens that also earned them a three match ban from their home ground. With an away victory against Royal Queens of Warri. FC Robo beat Royal Queens 1-0 in the only away win in Week 7, to return the Emmanuel Osahon-tutored team to third position going into the mid season break. While Abia Angels' goalless draw against Delta Queens kept them rooted to the bottom of Group B table with an inferior 4 points and -6 Goal Difference.
