Nasarawa United Appoint Bala Nikyu As Technical Adviser

Former Nigeria's U17 Women national team coach, Baba Nikyu has been appointed as the Technical adviser at Nasarawa United, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Solid Miners have in the last three months reportedly appointed Bala Nikyu as the head coach but due to non-league actions and some other internal factors assumed to be responsible for the delay for his unveiling before Sunday.

Surprisingly, Nikyu was announced as technical adviser on the day the Lafia based club will host Abia Warriors in 2019 Nigeria Professional Football League opener.

In a statement available to www.bsnsports.com.ng which confirmed the appointment of the Abuja based coach reads in part;

"Coach Bala Nkiyu will take over the reigns at Nasarawa United as technical adviser as Abubakar Arikya retains his post as the head coach while Coach Ibrahim Yahaya Sabo popularly known as Coach Bagu will come in as the new physical trainer."
