Nasarawa United captain, Emmanuel Makama, is happy with his side’s bright start to the new NPFL season and expressed optimism about the side’s campaign this term, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Solid Miners began their campaign with a 2-1 comeback win over Wikki Tourists at the Lafia Township stadium and they will be looking to consolidate on the result against Heartland on Sunday.
In a chat, Makama said Nasarawa United’s victory against Wikki Tourists is as a result of their positive discussions going into the season.
Makama, who is currently one of the longest serving players at the club, said they have their sights on winning the title this season.
“The boys are doing well at the moment, before the season started we talked to ourselves and the aim is to go for the trophy, that’s the standard.
“We are confident going into the season, we have good team as well. I believe everyone who is call upon by the coach will deliver,” he said.
