  NBBF Commences Training Of Referees, Match Officials By Sampson Adedeji Ahead of 2021 Basketball season in Nigeria, Nigeria Basketball Federation ( NBBF) has commenced training of referees and other technical officials for more effective performance, BSNSports.com.ng reports. The Federation under Engr Musa Kida announced the commencement of the training through its social media handle on Tuesday. The body confirmed the starting of the training for Northern referees and match, after they did same with their South and West Zone. "Our goal is to ensure that Nigerian referees attain the highest level possible and be able to compete with their colleagues across Africa. "We want more referees from Nigeria to be badged by FIBA and officiate during continental and international events," its said. Despite Coronavirus, 2020 can be considered a successful year for the federation after a good outing of the senior men's team D'Tiger at the just concluded Afrobasketball qualifier in Kigali, Rwanda.
