NBBF Election will Not Come Until After 3 years.... Eng Musa Kida

By Niyi Busari The President of Nigerian Basketball Federation, NBBF, Engineer Musa Kida has said that his board knew that election will hold but that will be after he and his board members must have finished the term because the issue at hand is not about new election but validation of mandate given to his board by the stakeholders which ends in three years time. He stated further that in as much as other Federations are functioning normally and as such same should be applied for the NBBF, the validation of his board mandate especially, the post of the president of the NBBF is not vacated. He is optimistic that even if new election is to be conducted he would win. "For now, it is not a matter of election, it is actually a matter of validation of mandate. A mandate given to the board by the stakeholders. All other Federations are still functioning normally therefore, the validation of my mandate for the post of the president of the NBBF is not vacated. "Clearly, the dust is not settled and FIBA is cleared that the NBBF has no constitution and all standing constitution. So, the first step is to draft a constitution and get it validated by Nigeria government and FIBA before we can really talk about any election."
