Hoopers established an eight point half time lead 31-23 in a game where they converted 75 percent of their free throws. The duo of Owen Oriakhi (16) and Ogan (11) contributed for 27 pts for Hoopers while Police Baton relied heavily on Malu and Ayanleke whose 15 and 11 points respectively wasn't enough. In the other group A match, Gombe Bulls managed by former National team assistant coach, Abdulrahman Mohammed outscored Benue Braves 80-45 points in a one sided game to make it two wins from two. Michael Okiki led all scorers to drop 17pts for Bulls which included 80 percent accuracy from distance shots followed by Emilagba -16pts & Mustapha -12pts while Okoye notched 11pts for Benue Braves. Kwara Falcons walked over Islanders of Lagos who had earlier pulled out of the championship. In the last game of the day in Group B, Kano Pillars cemented their place in the semi-finals of the championship with 83-68 points victory over Nigeria Customs who had beaten Kwara Falcons on Matchday One. Pillars started with strong offense to lead 40-29 at half time in a game where Dele Ademola had a game high of 19pts while the duo of Eli Abraham - 18pts and Chibuzor -10pts lifted the Savannah's. Nigeria Customs duo of Usman Alhaji (16) and Ahkuetie (13) combined for 29pts. As things stands, Pillars currently leads in group B and will engage Kwara Falcons on Sunday.
