NBBF Invites FIBA For January 31 Elective Congress In Abuja By Niyi Busari Secrtary General of Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF), Afolabi Oluwayemi-Olabisi has notified the basketball international governing body, stating that the NBBF Elective Congress will hold on January 31, 2022. FIBA and the NBBF Reconciliation Committee had recommended that the Elective Congress should hold on January 31. The elective congress will take place in Abuja. According to a source close to the Federation, the Secretary-General of NBBF, Mrs Olabisi Afolabi on January 17 wrote to FIBA to inform them about the date of the congress and invite the FIBA delegation to monitor the election. In a letter sent to a Chairman of State Basketball Association made available to BSN Sports, the Elective Congress will hold at the Package A of Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja. This according to the letter is to ensure that adequate security is provided for the delegates With this, all is now set for the NBBF elective Congress that will take place in Abuja, the nation's capital on the last day of January.
