NBBF, NGF, AFN, Others Get New Secretaries


NBBF,
Idris Adesina Athletics Federation of Nigeria, the Nigeria Basketball Federation and other sports federations have new General Secretaries after a reshuffle by the Ministry of Youth and Sports on Wednesday. Former AFN General Secretary Amaechi Akawo has been replaced by Adamu Elijah while former NBBF secretary ChimezieAsiegbu has been replaced by Augustine Balewa. Akawo has been moved to the planning and marketing department in the ministry while Asiegbu was moved to the Badminton Federation of Nigeria. Some other sports federation secretaries also affected include Ahmed Abdullahi of the Nigeria Wrestling Federation, who has been replaced by Umar Lambu (who was previously in the Nigeria Weightlifting Federation). Evelyn Fabunmi of the Karate Federation of Nigeria has been replaced by Abdullahi. Abulude Oludayo (Para Powerlifting), who was moved to the Cycling Federation of Nigeria, and Oludare Davies (Judo), who was moved to the Nigeria Golf Federation, were replaced by Ezema Bernard and Abimbola Adesiyan respectively.
