NBBF Signs New 5 years Sponsorship Deal with Total

In readiness for the upcoming basketball season in the country, Nigeria Basketball Federation ( NBBF) has announced a new sponsorship deal for the league, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Due to the outbreak of Corona virus across the world including Nigeria, sporting activities have been put on hold which affected the start of new basketball season in the country.

NBBF President, Engineer Musa kida on Wednesday announced that the federation will sign a Memoradum of Understanding ( MOU) with Total Nigeria on 15th September, 2020.

"NBBF will officially sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Total Nigeria on September 15, 2020 for the sponsorship of Division 1 and 2 men basketball leagues."

"With the initial two year support of Total, we were able to introduce Division 2 league system and also expand Division 1 with more teams participating and playing more games."

"It is on record that more than 150 local basketball teams participate in these two divisions all over the country."

“With another five-year agreement on the table, we should be able to build on what we have achieved and establish a system where more talents can participate in organized basketball," he said.
