The gaffer confirmed that Ndidi came through unscathed in his comeback game on Thursday, thereby putting him in contention to be included in Leicester’s machday squad for the first time since September 20, when he copped a knock in only the second game of the season. Ndidi should now line out when Leicester visit Bramall Lane to take on Sheffield on Sunday, with Rodgers expecting a different mentality from his side, as he admitted they missed something while the Nigerian lad was on the sidelines, as the team won seven matches, drew once and lost five games in all competitions. Rodgers said: “It was very important. Wilf’s come through it fine, he didn’t look like he’d been away in all honesty. His physicality is very important for our team, so that was good for him to get 55 minutes.”
