Newcastle United are set to decide on the future of manager Steve Bruce after the international break.
The Magpies will be up against Tottenham Hotspur in their next game and with new owners in charge, Bruce has no option but to win the tie if he is to save himself from the sack.
A report from the Telegraph claims the Englishman is on the brink of losing his job as the new owners want to start a squad revamp immediately and feels the former Birmingham City boss isn't the man to take them to the next level.
There have been a number of names linked with replacing the 60-year-old, including Rangers’ Steven Gerrard and Brighton and Hove Albion’s Graham Potter.
Bruce has always attracted a mixed reaction from the club fans with a chunk having already called for his sacking following the club's position in the league. They are yet to win any game this season and find themselves placed 19th on the table with three points after seven rounds of games.
