NFF Affirms NNL's Judgment on Osun United's Points Restoration, Banishment By Admin The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has affirmed the decision of Nigeria National League (NNL) that restored the three points of Osun United in the victory over Vandrezzer FC in the week 4 encounter of the ongoing season. The football governing body in Nigeria also approved the return of the Omoluabi Giants to their home ground, Osogbo Township Stadium after playing three matches at their adopted home, Ilorin Township Stadium where they lost two consecutive home games following the banishment for breaching Covid-19 rules. Recall that Vandrezzer FC of Lagos after being defeated 2-1 in the week 4 fixtures at the Osogbo Township Stadium instigated the banishment of Osun United to Ilorin while they equally prayed NNL to be awarded three points of the game or ordered for a replay at a neutral venue. However, their prayers were turned down by the NNL after carefully studying reports of the match which vindicated Osun United. Not satisfied with this, the boastful "Lions of Naija" appealed NNL's judgment to the apex football governing body in Nigeria, who summoned Osun United and Osun FA to appear before its Organizing & Disciplinary Committee on Wednesday, April 21 2021. Delivering the judgment in Abuja, Chairman NFF's Organizing and Disciplinary Committee, Barrister Musa Amadu and the Secretary, Barrister Queen Otarakpo after listening carefully to both sides affirmed the decision of NNL that restored the points and cancelled the banishment after Osun United have honoured three home matches at the Ilorin Township stadium. The NFF O&D then advised Osun United and Osun FA to, in their remaining home games adhere strictly to the rules of Covid-19 and ensure that they give orientation and serious warning to their fans to steer clear of pitch invasion, assault or attack on officials as this will attract further strict punishment. With this good news, Osun United will behind closed doors host FC Nilayo of Abeokuta at the Osogbo Township Stadium on Saturday, May 1, 2021 in the week 12 encounter
