NFF Congratulates Authentic Nigeria Football Supporters Club After CAF Endorsement

By Editor

The Confederation of Africa football CAF, finally put an end to the ongoing superiority war among rival supporter groups in Nigeria with their endorsement of Authentic Nigeria football supporters club championed by their enigmatic president, Abayomi Ogunjimi.

Africa football governing body on it's twitter page saluted the group for their unique form of football supportership while also calling on all stakeholders of the beautiful game to show patriotism and commitment as exemplified in the activities of the Authentic Nigeria football supporters club, a breakaway faction of the Nigeria football and other sports supporters club.

The CAF message especially at this time when football activities in Africa has been suspended because of the Corona Virus pandemic, is a morale boosting one to followers of the beautiful game who must find a way to stay safe and happy in the midst of these unfortunate happenings.

CAF decision to use the Authentic Nigeria football supporters club as their symbol of peace and safety, did not come as a surprise to the Nigeria football federation who have followed closely the rising profile of a group that came into limelight exactly a year ago and have blossomed so fast to become the darling club of Nigeria footballers, fans and administrators.

Just last week in Lagos, the Authentic Nigeria football supporters club opened their ultra modern secretariat complete with state of the art facilities at Adeniran Ogunsanya in Surulere Lagos, thesame street where the Nigeria football federation liaison office is situated.

NFF 1st Vice president Seyi Akinwunmi, was special guest of honour at that occasion and he took time to congratulate members of the group and promised that the NFF will continue to work with all supporters of the game with genuine interest of promoting and projecting Nigeria football in good light.

Adding his voice, is NFF second vice president and chairman of the league management company Shehu Dikko.

At a time when the LMC is daily sensitizing club supporters on the need to come out every weekend and support their clubs in a more organised and civil manner devoid of violence, Dikko sees the Authentic Nigeria football supporters club as the ideal role model for those who really want to stand out in this noble profession.
"They have done and have been doing exceptionally well within a short period of time by creating their own identity and brand. They have carved a niche for themselves as well as setting up enduring and sustainable structures. We commend them for this efforts and wish them well. We also advise that they try to build the group around the fans at all times" he concluded.

These commendations couldn't have come at a better time than now as the group battles with threats and attacks from a strong opposition that have refused to improve on their game but spend more time in frustrating the efforts of a hardworking chairman who in just under one year has invested over 10million naira plus his full energy and time into making the Authentic Nigeria football supporters club the pride of Nigerians, Africa and the world.
