NFF Contradict Self On Super Eagles Camping, Friendly Matches

President, Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Amaju Pinnick has said that the Super Eagles are expected to play two friendly matches in Austria in September, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The statement which was in contrary to what he said last month. Pinnick had on 16th July 2020 in an interview through NFF Instagram account said that the Nigeria senior national team will play two friendly matches in Portugal during the FIFA window.
“The arrangement is 70% confirmed. We hope to make use of the FIFA windows in both September and October and the opponent will most likely come from South America and Africa to be played in Portugal," the NFF boss said on Instagram.
Speaking on TVC on 5th August 2020, the former CAF Vice president says the venue for the camping and two friendly matches will be Austria in September during the FIFA international window.
“And we are thinking of opening a camp sometime in September for the Super Eagles in Austria where they are expected to play two friendly matches. We also need funds for that as well.”
The Super Eagles last match was against Lesotho in November 2019. Nigeria won the 2021 AFCON qualifier 4-2 in Maseru.
