NFF Faces Registration Challenges If Bayelsa United Qualify For CAF Club Competition By Niyi Busari The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will face challenges in registration of Bayelsa United in the CAF Confederation if they qualify to represent Nigeria in the CAF Clubs Competition,. BSNSports.com.ng can report. CAF had early this year set July 15 as deadline date for club licensing for all clubs participating in the Champions and Confederation Cup competitions. To this end, the NFF sent name of seven Nigeria Professional Football League clubs to CAF as probable winners of 2020/21 NPFL and the Federation Cup known as Aiteo Cup. The seven clubs are; Kano Pillars, Nasarawa United, Kwara United, Akwa United, Rivers United , Enyimba International FC and Lobi Stars. Bayelsa United, 'the Giants killer' will trade tackles with Nasarawa United in the final of 2021 Aiteo Cup in Benin City, Edo State on Sunday, August 5, 2021. NFF will need to send the name of Bayelsa United if Nasarawa United finish second on the NPFL log and win the Aiteo Cup or if Bayelsa defeat Nasarawa United in the Aiteo Cup final slated for Edo State. Nasarawa United, the favourites to win the final, will prefer to represent Nigeria in the CAF Champions League if it finishes second on the log table of the NPFL and wins the Aiteo Cup final against Bayelsa United on Sunday. With this, Bayelsa United will automatically represent Nigeria in the CAF Confederation Cup. And also if it defeats Nasarawa United in the final.
