  NFF Given 14-day Ultimatum To Reverse Appointment of Chairmen of League Boards By Niyi Busari The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has been given 14-day ultimatum to reverse the appointment of Chairmen of the League Boards or be charged to court, BSNSports.com.ng can report. This is contained in a letter signed by Awokekene Johnbul, Esq. dated 12th April, 2021. Seigha Obiene, a member of board of Nembe City football club had consulted the legal firm to seek redress following appointment of chairmen of League Boards which according to him contravened NFF statute. The letter reads; "We have been briefed and our services retained Seigha Obiene, a member of board of Nembe City football club, hereinafter referred to as our client. We write the letter upon his firm instruction in his behalf our client instructions is as follows: "That you purportedly appointed the chairmen of the various leagues as member of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) board contrary to article 12 C, 13 B and 33 of NFF statutes 2010. "That by aforesaid article, chairman of the various leagues shall be elected to the board if the NFF and not by appointment as you surreptitiously did. "That you are by this letter requested to reverse the said purported appointment and immediately do the needful in line with the spirit and letter of the NFF statutes 2010. "That you are given 14 days to reverse the appointment failure within which our client have no option but to institute action in a court of competent jurisdiction for the interpretation of NFF statutes of 2010. "While we await your prompt action on the subject please accept the assurances of our highest regard at all times."
