NFF, LMC Reschedule NPFL Last Two Games, Aiteo Cup Final By Our Reporter The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and the League Management Company (LMC) have rescheduled the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) match-day 38 and the final of this year's Aiteo Cup. According to www.aclsports.com the Aiteo Cup will take place on Sunday 8, 2021. Meanwhile, the final round of matches in the league (Week 38), earlier scheduled for Sunday, August 8, 2021 will now be played on Thursday, August 5, 2021 in all the designated top flight venues. The matches were rescheduled due to the August 8 deadline that the Confederation of African Football (CAF) gave to Members Associations to submit names of their representatives in next season’s inter-club competitions. The new arrangements have also seen four Week 37 fixtures rescheduled. The two semi-final matches in Men’s Aiteo Cup will be played on Friday, July 30, 2021. Nasarawa United will face Sunshine Stars in Asaba while Rivers United will trade tackles with neighbours Bayelsa United in Lagos. 2017 Aiteo Cup winners Akwa United look poised to land their first league title when they host MFM FC in the league on Sunday while three other teams; Nasarawa United, Enyimba and Kano Pillars are jostling for the two continental places on the league table.
