Bimo Sporting Club Team Manager, Barrister Iyke Igbokwe has accused the Nigeria Football Federation and Nigeria National League of allegedly defrauding Bimo Sporting Club and other seven NNL teams of One hundred million naira (#100,000,000:00) www.bsnsports.com.ng reports.
In an exclusive interview with BSNSports.com.ng he revealed that the NNL allegedly sold eight slots for the sum of Twelve million and Five hundred thousand (#12,500,000:00) only to each of eight clubs who bought the slots before the commencement of the 2017/18 season.
Igbokwe argued that the said amount was paid into personal accounts of four individuals and not NNL account.
He stressed that in their efforts to curtail the corrupt activities perpetrated by the National League Club Owners and Manager Association (NALCOMA) and NNL, they (Bimo SC) wrote petition to the NFF few months before the Salisu Yusuf bribery saga but they (NFF) didn't do anything about it while Salisu Yusuf issue have been attended to by the NFF disciplinary committee.
"NFF and NNL collaborate with the an unregistered, illegal National League Club Owners and Manager Association (NALCOMA) whose account we were asked to pay the amount for NNL slot sale." He stated
"We have all the documents with which we used in paying into the account but it's just unfortunate that we found ourself in this situation whereby NFF and NNL will be a party to this orchestrated fraud.
"Our findings have revealed that the NFF from their president, Mr Amaju Pinnick down to members are fraudulent, if not, how could NNL said they don't know how the eight clubs joined the league and NFF didn't say anything despite our petition."
He also accused NFF of match-fixing which according to him is planned through the Referee Appointment Committee. He butressed further that Road Safety FC complained that in their NNL Group A2 a particular club had the same set of referee and match officials officiating their four consecutive home matches out of the eight games."
"Why they (NFF) don't want to talk about all these is that they are the head of all these fraudulent acts."
