President of Nigeria Football Federation Amaju Melvin Pinnick has confirmed the part payment salary owned Nigeria's Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr and member of his technical crew, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Nigeria Football supremo earlier last week confirmed that the federation is owing the entire technical crew including the players.
While speaking to Punch correspondent, he said they have paid 2 Rohr Months salary, Assistant coach Joseph Yobo got 3 month while goalkeeper trainer Alloy Agu was paid 9 months.
" “We paid Rohr two months salaries on Friday, we also paid Alloy nine months. Last December, we paid (Joseph) Yobo three months wages,” Pinnick said.
“Nobody wants to owe. Things weren’t like this before, because our premium sponsors Aiteo paid the bills and on time, but they too are feeling the financial strains of the pandemic.
“As for the players’ allowances, the government takes care of that. The sports minister has been very helpful and supportive in this regard.
But there are a lot of very important issues in the country at the moment, I’m talking about health, security and so on.
It’s not been easy for government too. So, the players allowances will also be sorted out," he told Punch.
