A former member of Nigeria Football Federation Reform Committee, Alhaji Gara Gombe, has stated unequivocally that the committee's chairman, vice chairman as well as members are people with questionable character, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

According to Gombe who resigned from the committee on Thursday, Chairman of the committee, Barr Seyi Akinwunmi who doubles as 1st Vice President of the NFF, and vice chairman of the committee, Shehu Dikko are not worthy of being the chairman and vice chairman of the committee because they are currently undergoing investigation on the recovery of public property by the Presidential Investigative Panels.

"The chairman and vice chairman of the committee are under investigation on the recovery of public property, so they don't have the moral right to lead such committee. Gara Gombe told BSNSports.com.ng.

"So, also people I found out in that committee who conducted an election of their state FA in the middle of the night. So, the committee is filled with people with questionable character. Therefore, the appointment is unacceptable to me. Particularly, when I discovered that all we will be doing is just to sit down, drink coffee and go away."

Gara Gombe also frowned at none inclusion of government representatives in reform committee, he added that that made it illegal particularly without National Assembly approval.

"There is no way we can have committee reform without the representative of Ministry of Youth and Sports involved. We should know that the NFF is established by law. More importantly, National Assembly must approve such committee to make it legal." He concluded.
