NFF Releases Kick off Dates For 2020 Aiteo Cup Amidst Non-payment of Cash Prize For 2019 Finalists

The Nigeria football federation on Wednesday released a proposed programmes for 2020 Aiteo Cup Competition despite the non-payment of the cash prizes for the 2019 finalists - Kano Pillars and Niger Tornadoes, BSNSports.com.ng can report.
Kano Pillars defeated Niger Tornadoes on penalties to emerge 2019 Sites Cup champions and went ahead to represent Nigeria in the CAF Champions League. Niger Tornadoes on the other hand, despite dropping from the NPFL to the Nigeria second-tier league, NNL, represented Nigeria in the CAF Confederations Cup. Both teams are yet to receive their cash prizes that are budgeted to be paid to the finalists.
According to a letter sent to Secretaries of all State Football associations signed by Emmanuel Adesanya, collection of materials and licences from the organizers starts from 21st, February, 2020.
States FA Aiteo Cup are advised to commence 30th March, 2020 while the state finals are expected to be played between 25th and 26th April, 2020.
The twenty teams rookie national play-off will be held on 6th to 7th May while the national draws takes the center stage on May 13th.
However, Round One fixtures which involves 64 teams will be played across different venues on May 20th while Round Two with 32 teams kicksoff a week later.The quarter final is scheduled for June 17th while the semifinal and final will be played on 24th June and July 4th respectively.
The proposed dates are subject to change and amendment by the organizers
