NFF Stand On Anambra FA Election May Destroy Nigeria Football - Lawyer

By Editor

Reactions have continued to trail the handling of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF over the election into the Anambra State Football Association that had Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah re-elected unopposed.

The NFF are still unrelenting and are bent on going ahead with the proposed plan to inaugurate a caretaker body to run football in Anambra State for the next three months.

While reacting to this on an Enugu Radio, a Barrister who tagged himself as “an apostle of god of football” hopes the NFF will do the needful and allow the election stand.

“It’s a disappointment what is going on right now in the Anambra FA. The electoral committee must be independent and decide how best to conduct election and again, the congress of any football association is the highest decision making body. This, the NFF stipulate”.

“Our football is going down, I am an apostle of the god of football, I am genuinely disappointed in the NFF, the Anambra FA has corrected themselves with the use of the virtual election and the NFF cannot override its own committee, this sort of scenario happened in 1993 and the NFF can’t disregard this one in 2020. If this goes out, the world will mock us”, he concluded.

Recall that Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah was re-elected unopposed via virtual election of the Anambra FA and has since been presented with his certificate in an occasion that was in line with all COVID-19 protocols.
