NFF Technical Committee Moribund, Non-existence - Garba Lawal
By Niyi Busari
Former Super Eagles utility player, Garba Lawal has said that the Nigeria Federation Technical Committee has been rendered useless, no longer active and not effective, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Speaking on the Super Eagles 23-man list of invited players that will play against Seychelles, Garba Lawal was furious that the coach, Gernot Rohr has 100% decision on the list without passing through the table of the technical committee.
He stated that such thing didn't happen when Super Eagles were rated 5th Best team in the world under Clemence Westerhof.
According to him, the technical committee of the NFF is now moribund so there is no one to veto some of the decisions of the Franco-German coach.
"I doubt very much if his list was examined by anyone. The technical committee of the NFF is non-existent so who will make any input?.
"It appears the coach does whatever pleases him. Well, he is the coach so he may have his reasons for recycling players," he said.
Super Eagles will host Seychelles in the dead-rubber 2019 African Nations Cup qualifier and play an international friendly match against Pharaoh of Egypt a few days later.
