NFF To Pay $250,000 For DR Congo's Charterd Flight

By Admin The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) will pay out $250,000 for a chartered flight for the DR Congo to fly in for a friendly against the Super Eagles in Port Harcourt. This comes at a time NFF president Amaju Pinnick again allayed fears that DRC’s arrival could put Nigeria at risk of another outbreak of the deadly Ebola after fresh cases of the disease were reported in the central African nation. The cash is courtesy of the oil-rich Rivers State Government, who will formally announce a partnership with La Liga giants Real Madrid to build a football academy in Port Harcourt, according to ScoreNigeria report. The DRC team are due in Port Harcourt on May 25, three days before the match against World Cup-bound Super Eagles to celebrate this partnership with Real Madrid. In the meantime, Pinnick has reassured there will be no health risks on the arrival of DRC following the outbreak of the dreaded Ebola disease in that country. Pinnick said the necessary precautions and screenings will be carried out on the DRC contingent, which incidentally will be dominated by players who play their football overseas.
