NFF to replace suspended Super Eagles Coach Salisu Yusuf! By Admin Rangers International record-breaking coach, Imama Apamakabo looks set to replace former boss Salisu Yusuf following his ban on the basis of a bribery scandal. Coach Imama who has been assistant to Coach Salisu Yusuf with both the Super and CHAN Eagles is now favoured ahead of Abdul Maikaba and Kennedy Boboye (2017 NPFL Champion with Plateau United FC) to step into the void currently in the Super Eagles, CHAN Eagles and Nigeria U-23 team which was created by the ban on vastly experienced Salisu Yusuf. A top NFF official revealed: “He will be given a contract soon.” Coach Imama as an assistant coach of the Super Eagles was not entitled to a contract and only had to make do with match bonuses and allowances but with the recent developments he might need to quit his role with El-Kanemi Warriors as Technical Adviser to focus solely on the National Team duty for the Super Eagles, CHAN Eagles and the Nigeria U-23 team who who are billed to play an AFCON qualifier in November.
