NFF, Troost-Ekong, Balogun Rejoice With Ikeme Over Recovery From Leukaemia

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and Super Eagles defenders William Troost-Ekong and Leon Balogun have expressed delight over encouraging news by Carl Ikeme that he is in complete remission concerning his ailment, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Ikeme, who has been undergoing chemotherapy after being diagnosed with acute leukemia last year, revealed the good news on his verified Twitter handle on Saturday.
Being in complete remission indicates the disappearance of all signs of cancer in response to treatment. However it does not always mean the cancer has been totally cured.
Revealing the latest on his ailment, Ikeme wrote: “After a year of intense chemotherapy I would like to share that I am in complete REMISSION. I still have hurdles to pass to be cured,but hopefully I can move on with some normality! I would like to thank everyone for there support over the past year. Thank you #Grateful.”
Replying to Ikeme’s tweet, the NFF tweeted: “Great News! We are with you through and through and God will see this healing through. #OurCarlIsBack.”
Troost-Ekong wrote: “Thank God bro, best news! You are inspirational. We are with you all the way until you are cured.”
Balogun responded: “This is the best news in this World Cup so far.”
