NFF yet to pay Flying Eagles’ match bonuses, camp allowances

It was earlier reported that the Nigeria Football Federation had set aside Monday 10th June to pay the Nigeria U20 team all the outstanding match bonuses and camp allowances.

However, www.bsnsports.com.ng all round investigation revealed that the players and the officials were yet to collect what they were promised to receive.

The team is said to be in an unnamed hotel in Abuja as they await the payment few days after their arrival.

The Flying Eagles team won their first group game against Qatar by 4-0, lost 2-0 to USA in the second game and drew 1-1 against Ukraine.

The Paul Aigbogun-led side scaled through to the round of 16 with four points as best losers.

The two time world cup finalist, after an embarrassing campaign at the Poland world cup, protested the non payment of their allowance and camp bonuses before leaving their Hotel room in Poland.

The players are back in Nigeria, a member of the team who pleaded anonymity said the NFF has asked them to come Monday the 10th of June for their payment.
