Niger To Announce New Coach Soon

In order to make its national team a force to be reckoned with, the Federation of Nigerien Football (FENIFOOT) will this Sunday announced a new head coach for the country senior national team, the Menas, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The football governing body in the country has been on the look out for a coach for almost a year and they have finally seen one in Jean Michael Cavalli.

The 61-year-old coach has already led an African side, Algeria between 2006 and 2007, and many clubs in North Africa and the Middle East.

Once his contract is signed with the Ministry of Sports, Cavalli will quickly have to get down to business. The coach will benefit from a friendly tournament organized in the country next month to make his marks.

Cavalli need to start preparing the team for a double confrontation against Ethiopia scheduled for November in the qualifiers for AFCON 2021.
