Nigeria 1-0 Egypt: Super Eagles Players' Rating

Super Eagles took the world by surprise after caging the seven times African champions Pharaohs of Egypt beating the former champions, 1-0 in group D opener on Tuesday evening.
Iheanacho's 30th minute strike separated both sides and gave Nigeria the needed win in Coach Austine Eguavoen first competitive match since he took over after Gernot Rohr was sacked.
Players Rating
8/10 Okoye: He was calmed in the goal post and on holiday in the most part of the match as Super Eagles were seen dominating the game.
Ola Aina 7/10: Marshalling the defense line, did well in keeping the Pharaohs quiet at the right flank and also attacking when necessary.
Kenneth Omeruo 7/10: His combination with Ekong ensured that Mohammed Salah led Egypt played just two weak shot on target
Ekong 8/10: Captain and coordinator of the defense line. Did well in thwarting Egypt attacking plans.
Zaidu Sanusi: Another revelation in the tournament. Delivered the job perfectly.
Aribo 8/10: in Aribo, Nigeria has found another creative attacking midfielder
Ndidi 9/10: Show the reason he's rated among the best defensive midfielders in England.
Iheanacho 9/10: The Leicester City striker 30 minutes goal was the reason Nigeria picked the maximum three points. He calmly chest the ball inside the 18-yard box before unleashing a bullet to the top roof of the goal post that rendered Egypt goalkeeper helpless.
Simon 9/10: Man of The Match. He was the reason the Egyptians were afraid to come out to attack Eagles' defence. He was however, substituted for Alex Iwobi.
Chukwueze 5/10: Silent in the game. He couldn't make so much impact attack wise for his country before he was replaced by Ejuke.
Awoniyi 7/10: He combined well with Kelechi Iheanacho and was unlucky not to have had at least one.

Ejuke 6/10: His attempt after taking on Egypt defenders from his half could have led to the second goal but the keeper was lucky to save the goal.
