  Nigeria 2021:Coronavirus  Knocks Egypt Out of AFCON By Niyi Busari As it stands, Egypt U19 Male Volleyball National Team will not be part of the 2021 U19 Volleyball African Nations Cup scheduled to kick off on Wednesday 3rd March at the Indoor Sports Hall, Package B, Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja. Egypt had some of their registered players tested positive for Covid 19 last week while undergoing routine test before leaving for Nigeria for the tournament. Meanwhile, the north African country pleaded to have the competition's kick off date shifted to Thursday while they replace the affected players for new ones. This was rejected by the organizer because the rule stated that any team that could not arrive to attend the meeting ahead of the kick off date will not participate. President, African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB), Bouchra Hajij had announced that Nigeria will host the 2020 Boys U19 African Nations Volleyball Championship. The 2020 Boys U19 African Nations Volleyball Championship is scheduled to be played from 3rd to 9th March, 2021 in Abuja. Meanwhile, as Covid 19 knocked Egypt out of the competition, Cameroun, Central Africa, Congo RDC, Tunisia and the host, Nigeria are the participants in the championship.
