Nigeria Awaits CAF Decision On Moshood Abiola Stadium Approval By Niyi Busari Nigeria is waiting to hear from the African football governing body (CAF) the decision following the inspection of Moshood Abiola Stadium carried out by its delegation on Wednesday, BSNSports.com.ng can report. The team led by Ghanaian, Emmanuel Dasoberi inspected among others; the dressing rooms, the room for Video Assistant Refereeing (VAR), media center, the pitch, the VIP section, the VVIP section, ambulance, the exit and entrance gates, the parking lots. The inspection was held during the Nigeria Professional Football League match-day 7 encounter between Niger Tornadoes and 3SC at the mainbowl of Moshood Abiola Stadium. This gave the delegation the opportunity to inspect the two new digital scoreboards. Dasoberi however failed to speak with the press during the inspection saying that he's not in position to talk to the press men. The moves come a few days after Aron Nigeria Limited, which was contracted by the Dangote Group, handed over the rehabilitated stadium to Dare Sunday, the minister of youth and sports development. Gianni Infantino, FIFA president, and Patrice Motsepe, CAF president, had visited the Abuja stadium in October, with the pair expressing delights at the facility which gives hopes that the stadium will approved for international matches Dangote had earmarked $1 million for the renovation of some part of the 60,000 capacity stadium in August 2020.
