Nigeria International Set To Face Serie B Expulsion With Club By Sampson Adedeji According to the reports coming from Italy, club of Nigeria's Super Eagles midfielder Joel Obi Chievo Verona is set to miss out of the 2021/2022 season of the Serie B, BSNSports.com.ng can reports. Chievo Verona released a statement confirming they have not been registered for the 2021-22 Serie B season and are lodging an appeal. All clubs in Italy must prove their financial stability before they are allowed to register for the new season. Chievo’s books were analysed by the Co.Vi.So.C entity, which gave a negative view on their current status. The reports suggest that Flying Donkeys had been excluded from the Serie B campaign, and this was confirmed in a statement. Chievo have already announced they are lodging an appeal. Obi who has 17 caps for Super Eagles played active role for the club last season as they finished 8th position with 56 points in 38 matches.
