Nigeria Striker Scores Debut Goal For El-Gaish

Former Bayelsa United forward, Victory Beniangba, registered his name on the scorer's sheet for his new Egyptian League side, El Gaish on Tuesday night, as his lone goal helped his side beat former African Champions, Zamalek, at the Abdel-Latif Abu-Rajelha Stadium.
Though he just joined El-Gaish, Victory was given his debut against Egyptian champions Zamalek in the League Cup on Tuesday, and he didn’t disappoint.
Victory’s powerful header was enough to hand the army-based side a win over the White Knights, to gift them their second win of the season and the first one in the League Cup.
Zamalek who were hoping for a win to go past arch rival, Al Ahly were first in the Egyptian Premier League with 19 points from seven games, while Zamalek were on same point with eight games.
The Kaiama-born attacker gave El Gaish scored in the 76 minute from Fares Hatem cross, after first half of hostility ended in a barren draw, with Zamalek booking three yellow cards.
Victory who score the only goal when Bayelsa United beat three time champions, CS Sfaxien of Tunisia, prior to this moment, he has been in the radar of top African club sides before joining the Army's Vanguards as nicknamed in Egypt.
The win moves Army's Vanguards to 15 place on the log with seven games, one behind Arab Contractors, while Zamalek are second with 19 points with superior games.
El Gaish will next face El Gouna at the 20 thousand Gehaz El Reyada Stadium.
