Nigeria v Ghana WC Playoffs: Super Eagles Camp Opens March 21

    Super Eagles players are expected to resume camp in Abuja on March 21, ahead of their Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifying play-offs against Ghana on March 25 and 29, BSNSports.com.ng reports. The opening leg, which was earlier scheduled to hold on March 24 in Cape Coast, will now be played March 25, while the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja will host the second leg. FIFA fixed March 21 to 29 for the international break, and with the Eagles billed to face the Black Stars in the first leg of their World Cup qualifying playoffs on March 25, players who have been called up will arrive at the camp in their numbers on Monday, March 21. Nantes forward, Moses Simon, will be one of the earliest in camp as he is expected to arrive on the opening day after Nantes play Lille on March 19. Al Hilal striker, Odion Ighalo, is expected to arrive early after featuring for his side against Al-Ahli Saudi March 18. England-based players Frank Onyeka, Wilfred Ndidi, Kelechi Iheanacho and Ademola Lookman, who recently switched allegiance to Nigeria, will also arrive early as Leicester City play Brentford on March 19, while the Watford contingent – William Troost-Ekong, Emmanuel Dennis and Oghenekaro Etebo, as well as Everton’s Alex Iwobi, are expected in on March 22, as the Hornets and Toffees clash March 20. Italian contingent Victor Osimhen and Ola Aina will be expected to come in from March 22 as Napoli clash with Unidese March 20, while Torino are away to Genoa .
