Nigeria Volleyball Federation President Expresses Optimism Ahead Of Olympic

President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation Engineer, Musa Nimrod says the federation is preparing for the reschedule Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games in Japan next year.
Engineer, Nimrod in an interview with Radio Nigeria in Yenagoa the Bayelsa State capital said his dream as a president of the federation is to surpass the previous record of the federation.
He explained that the beach volleyball team both male and female are going into the final round of Tokyo Olympics 2020 qualifications, while the male team is gearing up for their second round of qualification, pointing out that the federation is leaving nothing unturned in order to avoid the mistake in Rio de Janeiro.
Engrineer Nimord noted that with the performance of the Nigerian volleyball team in the All African games in Morocco and also the display of the women volleyball team in Hamburg, Germany, last year as well the nation’s performance in the world snow volleyball championship where they upset host Argentine has shown what they intend to achieve in Japan.
The Kaduna born administrator while commending the government for their effort and growth of the sports in the last sixty years, called on corporate organizations to support volleyball.
Engineer, Nimrod said he would continue to see that Nigeria is reckoned with in both Africa and the world in volleyball stressing that his aspiration has also been to change the narrative about federation participation in tournament.
On the quest to discover to new talents, he said once the Presidential Task Force PTF lift the ban on contact sports the federation would go round the nooks and crannies of the country to scout for talents.
