The Karel Jarolím-led lads piped the Super Eagles 1 – 0 in an international friendly ahead of the World Cup in Russia. Amazingly, most of the fans at the stadium were seen flying the flag of the former Republic of Biafra, which consists a horizontal tricolour of red, black, and green, charged with a golden rising sun over a golden bar. The fans could be heard chanting in Igbo, which is the official language of the rested country.
