Nigeria Shakes of First Defeat to Force a draw against Ireland at IHF Emerging Nations Tournament in Georgia

Nigeria and Ireland played out a thrilling 31-31 draw at the IHF Emerging Nations Tournament holding in Georgia.

The national under 23 male team, who had earlier lost to Georgia in the first game, gave a good account of themselves and was able to force a draw against a well experienced and formidable Irish side.

Obina Ani was awarded the best player of the match on the Nigerian side.

Adamalugbe Ola Babatunde was the best player for Nigeria against Georgia despite the team losing 27-14 to the host.

Meanwhile, president of the Handball Federation of Nigeria has praised the resilience of the team against Ireland and also advised that they endeavor to get their first win of the competition.
