Already in; Odion Ighalo, Alex Iwobi, Semi Ajayi, Ikouwem Udo, Valentine Ozonwafor, Ike Ezenwa, Daniel Akpeyi. #SoarSuperEagles." Three–time African champions Nigeria have already made sure of a place at the Africa Cup of Nations holding in Egypt this summer, and the encounter against the Pirates is hardly more than an academic affair. But the Eagles have spoken of a need to end the qualification series on a high while using the game to kick –start preparations for the AFCON 2019 in Egypt. Super Eagles take on the Pirates of Seychelles at the Stephen Keshi Stadium qhich kicks off at 4:00 pm on Friday. Goalkeepers Francis Uzoho, Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Daniel Akpeyi are all in town, as well as home-based professionals Ikouwem Utin, Ndifreke Effiong and Valentine Ozornwafor. The bulk of the invited group of 23 will come in on Tuesday, with the friendly against the Pharaohs of Egypt scheduled for next Tuesday. Coach Gernot Rohr called up 23 players for the two matches, with Ikouwem Utin and Effiong leaping on to the list as a result of injuries to Samuel Kalu and Ola Aina. Nigeria's Super Eagles are topping Group E table with 10 points from 5 matches, followed closely by South Africa in the second on the log with 9 points while Libya and Seychelles have 7 and 1 points respectively.
