Nigeria Vs South Africa: Group Qualification Our Main Target For Now - Amapakabo

The coach of Nigeria Olympic team Imama Amapakabo has declared that the main priority of the team for now is to secure qualification into the last four of the ongoing U23 Africa cup of Nations.

The Nigeria side who will face their counterparts from South Africa at Al Salam stadium on Friday require an outright win to qualify from the group.

Amapakabo while speaking ahead of the match recognised the strength of their opponent but rather focus on his team.

" I prefer to talk for my team, like I said every other team that is here have had the opportunity to work for a couple of years and because of some challenges that we had, we have to build the team in competition .

"But it's okay, we are putting our best team forward and we hope that we are going to get right the most important thing is, for us to get the needed result and we are working very hard in training and hopefully we will get the desired result to qualify from the group," he stated.

Nigeria is the defending champion of the competition having won it in 2015 in Senegal.
