Nigeria Will Qualify For U23 Nations Cup, Azubuike Okechukwu Insists Skipper Azubuike Okechukwu haa expressed confident that the Nigeria U23 national team will turn the table against Libya on Monday to advance to the next round of the U23 AFCON qualifiers. Last week, Nigeria lost the first leg 2-0 in Tunisia to the North Africans and now walking the tight rope and will need to win by at least 3-0 to go through. “We’re going to fight to get the team through to the next round of the qualifiers,” declared Turkey-based Okechukwu. “We’re Nigerians and with us anything is possible. “We didn’t play compact, we lost concentration, we conceded two goals and then we got a red card, but we will do better in the second leg.” Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has already said Okechukwu is in his plans. “I’m glad to hear that I am been considered for the Super Eagles,” the Rizespor midfielder said. “I will keep working hard and hope to be with the team soon.”
