Nigerian Athlete Enoch Adegoke To Enjoy The Adopt An Athlete Initiative By Uche Dozie Minister Sunday Dare has adopted Enoch Adegoke under the Adopt An Athlete Initiative (AAI) following his impressive performances enroute Tokyo 2020, BSNSports.com.ng reports. According to Honourable Minister's aide, Kola Joshua, the lad was adopted on Tuesday after the minister watched him train at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja. Adegoke who is an 100 and 200 metres specialist has represented Nigeria in the Commonwealth and African Games. The 21-year old now have the opportunity to benefit from the support that comes with the programme in preparation for the Tokyo Olympics. He joins other Nigerian athletes such as Ese Brume, Favour Ofili, Tobi Amusan, Usheorise Itshekiri, Raymond Okevwo,Patience George Okon, Joy Udoh Glory amongst others who are benefitting from the initiative. The AAI, a programme by the Sports Ministry, seeks to give financial support to Nigerian athletes ahead of the summer Olympics through contributions and support of organizations and individuals.
