Nigerian Athletes Will Do Better At Olympic, Says Technical Director

Technical Director Athletics Federation of Nigeria, Sunday Adeleye has assured Nigerians of better performance of the Nigerian Athletes at the forthcoming Olympic in 2020.
Adeleye who gave the assurance during an interview with BSN Sports in Abuja says: "Nigerian Athletes can do better and I can assure you that we are going to win more medals at the olympic because we are already correcting what could be best described as our mistakes at Commonwealth games."
"Part of the steps we are already taking is that we are exposing our home based athletes to what they are suppose to know so that they can be able to compete favourably at the international competitions,especially at the Olympic," he continued.
"In the past, the home based athletes were not giving this kind of opportunities to prove their worth. Most of them are just experiencing this kind of tournament for the first time and I am very happy with their performances. We have been able to compete favourably with Jamaicans, Americans and other countries with vast experience."
" This is a beginning of a new down in the Athletics Federation, and we are good to go for the Olympic".
While speaking, the Technical Director thanks Nigerians for their support and prayers throughout the Commonwealth games. He concluded.
One of the 4 by 400m silver medal winning athletes, Patient Okon Judge lauded the Athletics Federation of Nigeria for the prompt payment of their allowances.
When asked if all the athletes that made the team to Australia merit to be part of the contingents, Patient says: " everybody that made up of their various team merit to be there".
