Nigerian Eligible Star Signs Contract Extension With Werder Bremen By Oluwayemi Omolagba German-Nigerian full back Felix Agu has committed his future to SV Werder Bremen, BSNSports.com.ng can report. The 22-year-old signed an early contract extension with the Green-Whites, announced sporting director Frank Baumann on Sunday. Felix Agu joined Werder Bremen from VfL Osnabruck in the summer of 2020. He made 15 appearances for them in the Bundesliga, scoring one goal in his maiden campaign with the club. “Felix has come on tremendously as a player since joining us. He’s shown he constantly wants to work on his game, he’s played well in several different positions and his performances in this season in particular have been very consistent. We’re very pleased that he will be staying with us here at SVW,” commented Frank Baumann. Head coach Ole Werner was equally thrilled about the news. “The contract extension is confirmation of his development. His performances at the moment are very consistent and I’m convinced that if continues to work hard, he has a bright future at Werder Bremen.” “The club have given me the feeling that I can develop a lot as a player here, and I’d like to play lots of football and put in good performances," says Felix Agu. Felix Agu has made 43 appearances in the second-tier throughout his entire career.
