Nigerians Will Not Forgive Pinnick For Keeping Gernot Rohr - Qudus Gbolahan

An influential politician based in Lagos, Mr Qudus Gbolahan Folami has described the present Nigeria Football Federation under Amaju Pinnick as one of the worst football adminstration Nigeria has ever had.

Qudus while speaking with www.bsnsports.com.ng in Abuja on Tuesday added that the performance of Nigeria football under the present NFF is the worst since he has been following the game for the past 50 years.

"I think in terms of performance the Amaju Pinnick-led NFF is one worst federation we have ever had in football administration in this country." Qudus told BSN Sports

"The most irritating of it all is the extension of Gernot Rohr contract as the coach of Super Eagles of Nigeria.

"At the competitions, Rohr has not been able to demonstrate any technical competence, in AFCON 2019 and at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, he showed glaring technical and tactical deficiency.

According to him, Gernot Rohr has failed and should go. He buttressed his argument saying that Nigeria has won three African Nations Cup titles and has qualified for the Second Round of the world cup on two occasions before the emergence of Amaju Pinnick led Board as well as Rohr as Eagles coach.

"Before now, we have been in the Second Round of the World Cup twice, and have won AFCON title three times before he comes. If after three years, Gernot Rohr is still talking how youthful his team is and be proud about winning bronze medal, then Nigeria has to look elsewhere for brighter future."

"Amaju must divorce himself from Rohr engagement otherwise his administration and his entire legacy will be defined by the incompetence of the coach.

"How can you sign a coach who reside in Europe only to come back few days to an important competition. He didn't watch Nigeria league to see home based players to be invited to the national team.

"Pinnick should take necessary steps to relief Rohr of his job now. Other African countries who saw their coaches as failure have sacked their coaches. Now i heard that NFF wants to spend Nigeria money to send him on a refresher course in Europe while we have Nigerian coaches who need the course more. Nigerians will not forgive Pinnick if he keeps Gernot Rohr." The politician concluded.
