Major football league seasons kick-started over the weekend. Accrington Stanley United on the opening day of the League One season sent clear statement of ambition to other clubs in the League 1.

For Tariq Uwakwe, the Chelsea loanee, he has made an amazing start to his league 1 career with Accrington Stanley registering his
fourth goal in two matches as the Reds recorded a 2-0 win against Peterborough in League 1.

The ambition for Accrington Stanley will be to return to the English Championship, of course there was no better way to starts.

For Uwakwe, the Anglo-Nigerian put in a
ninety-minute shift against Peterborough United same as he did on his last game.

Consistency will be key for Uwakwe who has been watched over time by representatives from Nigeria as they continue to monitor the progress of this promising youngster.

Next up for Accrington Stanley will be a travel to face Burton Albion on match day two at the Pirelli Stadium in Staffordshir.
