Nimrod appeals on private sector to support federation events By Admin The president of Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Musa Nimrod, on Monday in Abuja ,has appealed on private sector to support the federation's events. The president disclosed this at the Nigeria Volleyball congress held at the package A, media centre,at the national stadium. Nimrod said the greatest obstacle impeding the rapid growth of the federation is funding. "Our concern now is for corporate organisations to partner with the federation because we are already have the products to sell. "We have alot of programs for next year event, the decision is not in any way to witch any individual or group but for the development of the game. "We should not expect a different result if we keep doing the same thing continuously," he said Nimrod calls on on Volleyball gladiators and family to remain one United family. "I cannot do it alone; the board needs the support of volleyball enthusiast, philanthropist and ex international to invest in the sport that brought them fame. "The game of volleyball must not die during our time, we have to do everything possible to see than Nigeria is at par with North Africa nations,"he said. The president said he is optimistic that in the next three years,Nigeria will be ranked among the best teams in the grade and senior teams. "It is my dream for Nigeria to play at the highest tournament which is the world cup and this can be made possible with your support to the board; injury to one, injury to all," he said. He said the federation want to build new senior national teams (both indoor and Beach) that can stand the best of time and compete with other teams in the world. "My aim for the federation is to focus on grassroots developments in other to identify hidden talents across 774 Local Government Areas in Nigeria. "I have a strong believe that Nigeria can rule the grade championship if we put our energy and resources in the grassroots . "We urge private individuals and bodies who have volleyball programs in 2019 to come forward and present their calendar before the federation in order to incorporate them and avoid clash of championships whether national or international," he said (NAN)
