Nimrod calls on private sector to invest in Volleyball By Dare Kuti President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Engineer Musa Nimrod on Sunday called on corporate organizations to partner with the federation in showcasing the game of volleyball. Nimrod made the call during an interview with journalist after the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) award night in Asaba, Delta state capital. He said the federation wants the private sector to join her in the journey of building discovered athletes from the Africa Youth Games in Algeria. The NVBF president disclosed that the under 19 male team is now ranked 1st in Africa according to the ranking from the World Volleyball body “The federation has a lot of program on ground and our concern now is for corporate organizations to come assist us because we already have the products to sell. Right now, we are ranked no 1 in Africa in the recently released information by the World body”. “These young boys are the products. The volleyball federation ones again call on the private sector to join us in the race of building the federation. This is the stepping stone to greatness in volleyball. It is God that is doing because it’s neither me nor the board”, he said. Nimrod said the under 20 female team will participate in the Nation’s Cup this month in Kenya, while Nigeria will host the under 21 male’s Nation’s Cup. “We are preparing for the under 20 female Nation’s Cup in Kenya, while Nigeria is ready to host the under 21 male’s Nation’s Cup in September”, he added.
